Various Opportunities at MPSC – 2023

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has been conducting a variety of exams throughout the year, offering employment opportunities to numerous job seekers in the state of Maharashtra. Recently, MPSC announced its revised exam calendar and time table for competitive exams on its official website, mpsc.gov.in. The commission is set to hold several recruitment exams in 2023, including the MPSC Civil Services Combined Prelims Exam, Maharashtra Civil Engineering Services Group-A & Group-B Main Exam, Maharashtra Electrical Engineering Services Group-B Main Exam, Inspector, Metrology, Group-B Main Examination, and Food and Drug Administrative Services, Group-B Main Examination.

About MPSC

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a constitutional body established under the Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It is responsible for conducting various civil services examinations in the state of Maharashtra and recruiting candidates for the government services. MPSC was formed on May 1, 1949, and since then, it has been playing a crucial role in recruiting candidates for various posts in the state government.

MPSC conducts various competitive examinations, including the Maharashtra State Civil Services Examination, Maharashtra Engineering Services Examination, Maharashtra Agriculture Services Examination, and Maharashtra Forest Services Examination. The commission also conducts various other examinations for recruitment in different government departments, including medical and non-medical posts.

Qualification

The following educational qualifications are required for various posts:

  • Forester, Group B: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in BE/B.Tech. Automobile Engineering / BE/B.Tech. Power / BE/B.Tech. Production / BE/B.Tech. Metallurgy and Material / BE/B.Tech. Textile / BE Information Technology / BE Instrumentation / B.Sc. Biotechnology / B. Pharmacy / B.Tech. Food Science from a recognized Indian university.
  • Deputy Director of Agriculture, Group A: Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in B.SC (Agricultural Biotechnology) / B.SC (Agribusiness management) / B.SC (Home Science) / B.Tech (Food System) / B.F.S / B.S.C (Horticulture) from a recognized Indian university.
  • Taluka Agriculture Officer, Group B: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in B.SC (Agricultural Biotechnology) / B.SC (Agribusiness management) / B.SC (Home Science) / B.Tech (Food System) / B.F.S / B.S.C (Horticulture) from a recognized Indian university.
  • Agriculture Officer Junior, Group B: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in B.SC (Agricultural Biotechnology) / B.SC (Agribusiness management) / B.SC (Home Science) / B.Tech (Food System) / B.F.S / B.S.C (Horticulture) from a recognized Indian university.
  • Assistant Executive Engineer Civil, Group A: Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Water Management) B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Environmental), B.E. / B.Tech (Structural), B.E. / B.Tech (Construction Engineering / Techno from a recognized Indian university.
  • Assistant Engineer Civil Group A, Category-1: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Water Management) B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Environmental), B.E. / B.Tech (Structural), B.E. / B.Tech (Construction Engineering / Techno from a recognized Indian university.
  • Assistant Engineer Civil Group A, Category-2: Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Water Management) B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Environmental), B.E. / B.Tech (Structural), B.E. / B.Tech (Construction Engineering / Techno from a recognized Indian university.
  • Assistant Engineer Electrical, Category 2, Group B: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Water Management) B.E. / B.Tech (Civil and Environmental), B.E. / B.Tech (Structural), B.E. / B.Tech (Construction Engineering / Techno from a recognized Indian university.
  • Assistant Engineer Mechanics, Category 2, Group B: Candidates must hold a Graduation Degree in relevant Engineering Trades.
  • Sub Divisional Water Conservation Officer, Group A: Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in relevant Engineering Trades from a recognized Indian university.

  • For General categories: Rs. 394/-
  • For Reserved categories: Rs. 297/-

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years Maximum 38 years
