Application Fees

  1. Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs One hundred only).
  2. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  3. Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards.
  4. Fee can be paid by the candidates up to 01-01-2024 (23:00 Hours) through online mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.
  5. Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
  6. Candidates who are not exempted from fee payment must ensure that their fee has been deposited with SSC. If the fee is not received by SSC, status of Application Form is shown as ‘Incomplete’ and this information is printed on the top of the printout of online Application Form. Also, status of fee payment can be verified at the ‘Payment Status” link provided in the candidate’s login screen. Such applications which remain incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no request for consideration of such applications and fee payment after the period specified in the Notice of Examination shall be entertained.

Educational Qualifications

  1. The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
  2. Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply.
  3. As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in the Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government
    provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau,
    University Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are
    recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the
    qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational
    Qualification.
  4. All the candidates who are called for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Marksheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Matriculation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification. It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Board/ Institute/ University by the specified date. Mere processing
    of the result by the Board/ University/ Institute by the cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.
    • The benefit of incentive/ Bonus marks will only be provided to a candidate who has opted for bonus marks/ incentive for ‘NCC
      certificate’ in online application. If a candidate has not indicated that he is a NCC certificate holder in the online application form, subsequent change in the status will not be allowed.
    • The benefit to NCC Certificate Holder will be confirmed only on production of the original certificate supporting their claims at the time of document verification.
    • However, till the verification of NCC Certificate, bonus marks will be awarded provisionally as per the claim of candidate in the online application form.
    • The crucial date for this purpose will be the closing date of receipt of online applications.
    • This benefit is not available for Ex-servicemen.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for SSC GD (as of 01/01/2024):
Applicants for GD Constable positions (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, and riflemen) must have successfully completed the 10th class or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit for SSC GD (as of 01/01/2024):
To qualify for the SSC GD 2023 Exam, candidates need to be between 18 and 23 years old. Their date of birth should fall between 02-01-2001 and 01-01-2006. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government regulations.
