Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2023, the candidate must meet the following three criteria:

  1. IBPS Clerk Age Limit (as on 01/07/2023):
    • The candidate’s age should be between 20 years and 28 years.
    • The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1995 and not later than 01.07.2003.
  2. Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
    • Special category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit. Specific details regarding the relaxation are provided below:

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Exam, candidates must meet the following educational criteria:

  1. Minimum Qualification: The candidate should have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Proof of passing the qualifying examination should be available in the form of a certificate.
  2. Graduation Certificate: The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate confirming their graduate status at the time of registration. Additionally, they should indicate the percentage of marks obtained during their Graduation while applying online.
  3. Computer Literacy: It is mandatory for candidates to have operating and working knowledge of computer systems. This can be demonstrated through a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in computer operations/language. Alternatively, having studied Computer or Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/College/Institute is also acceptable.
  4. Proficiency in Official Language: Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in the Official Language of the State/UT for which they are applying. Proficiency entails the ability to read, write, and speak in the Official Language.
