About EMRS

EMRS stands for Eklavya Model Residential Schools, which are a network of schools in India established by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Selection of candidates for the positions of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Hostel Warden will be carried out through a process involving a written examination known as the EMRS Staff Selection Exam, followed by document verification and an interview. Successful candidates appointed as EMRS TGT teachers will receive a salary ranging from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400, while Hostel Wardens (Males & Females) will receive a salary between Rs. 29,200 and Rs. 92,300.

TGT ((English / Hindi/Third Language/Mathematics/Science/ Social Science)	The applicant should have successfully completed a four-year integrated degree program at the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the relevant subject, securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Alternatively, the candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks, focusing on the concerned subject or a combination of subjects, while maintaining the same aggregate requirement. For TGT (Hindi) applicants, Hindi must have been their primary subject during graduation. In the case of TGT (English) candidates, English should have been their principal subject throughout graduation. For TGT (Social Studies) candidates, the main subject during graduation should encompass any two subjects from History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science. For those applying for TGT (Maths), their main subject during graduation should be Mathematics, and their secondary subject must be chosen from among Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Economics, Commerce, and Statistics. Aspiring TGT (Science) candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and should have studied any two of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry. Furthermore, candidates must possess a B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university, along with successfully clearing either the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II. Proficiency in teaching in both Hindi and English mediums is a necessary attribute for the candidate.
TGT (Music)	The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Music from a recognized University/Institution.
TGT (Art)	The candidates must hold a graduation degree in Fine Arts/Crafts from a recognized University. OR B.Ed. Degree in Fine Arts from the Regional College of Education.
TGT (Physical Education Teacher)	Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized institution or university
TGT (Librarian)	The candidates must hold a degree in Library Science from a recognized Institution/University OR Graduation with a one-year diploma in Library Science from a recognized Institution.
