Junior Assistant & PEO Recruitment in OSSSC – 2023

On 24 February 2023, the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission published a recruitment notice for the positions of Junior Assistant and Panchayat Executive Officer. According to the official notification in PDF format, OSSSC has declared a total of 5396 openings for these roles in various District Establishments under different departments of the Government of Odisha. About OSSSC

The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) is a government agency in the Indian state of Odisha responsible for conducting recruitment exams to fill various subordinate positions in the state government departments and offices.

Established in 2012, OSSSC has the mandate to select suitable candidates for various subordinate posts such as Junior Clerk, Junior Assistant, and other similar posts. The commission conducts written tests, skill tests, and interviews as part of the recruitment process.

The commission is headed by a chairman and comprises of members appointed by the government. The headquarters of the OSSSC is located in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.

OSSSC Notification

Applications are invited online through the OSSSC website www.osssc.gov.in for recruitment to the district cadre posts of Junior Assistant (JA) and Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in various District Establishments under different Departments of Government of Odisha. The District-wise total vacancies for each post to be filled up by this recruitment and reservation for each category of candidates is indicated at
Annexure I & II. The recruitment is being conducted according to the Odisha Sub- Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (District Cadre) Rules, 2012, Odisha Ministerial Services (Method of Recruitment and conditions of service of Junior Assistants, Senior Assistants and Section Officers in the District Offices and offices Sub-ordinate thereto) Rules, 2019 and the Odisha, Panchayat Executive Officers Service (Method of Recruitment and conditions of service) Rules, 2021 as amended up to date.

Qualification

PostQualification
Junior AssistantCandidates should possess a qualification that is equivalent to passing the +3 examination in Arts/Science/Commerce or any other relevant discipline, along with proficiency in Computer Skills.
Panchayat Executive OfficerCandidates should have successfully completed the +2 examination in any discipline or an equivalent examination.

Age Limit

As of 1st January 2023, candidates should be between 21 and 38 years of age.
