Why not every MBA getting Job?

To begin with, thousands of MBA graduates from the prestigious IIM’s, foreign universities and others from regular colleges or private deemed universities pass out every year. The course is the same, exam patterns are the same, subjects are the same then what makes only few of the MBA graduates getting into jobs and other good positions?

Well, definitely it makes us think that the difference in educating strategies might be the cause of it. Then our next question straight goes to, do all the students graduating from the so called “IIM’s” or “foreign universities” get into good positions? Obviously not!

An MBA, being a professional degree, most of us fail to think whether it would really add any significance to our career. Students during their end of college time, start thinking what to do after college and that is when the CAT, GRE, GMAT and stuff pops up into their minds. Majority may go for MBA since others have done that and got a better career they tend to choose it as their path without even analysing what they want in their life. This would be one of the most common reasons why not all the MBA graduates get into jobs. Entrepreneurship is not a choice of career for most of them but still they intend to take up thinking it would fetch a better job but without the right interest or zeal nothing would be possible.

Coming to the students, who are really interested in taking up MBA and pursuing entrepreneurship, graduate with an MBA degree but still don’t get good jobs. There are few expectations that a candidate must meet to get into a job or any position according to the employer. The expectations are totally based on our skill, attitude, communication, spontaneity, presence of mind, discipline, creativity and many more assets of being a human. Basically it is not about from which college you graduate from or how much have you scored that matters to actually get into a job but what matters is that how you put up yourself in tricky situations and how you handle them is what intervened by almost all the employers. This again doesn’t mean that your marks and your qualification don’t matter. It’s just that not all toppers are extremely smart and intelligent nor all average students are hopeless.

Then why is that only few of the students holding an MBA degree get into a job? In today’s world getting a job is not that difficult it’s just that you have to prepare yourself for that.

Let’s see each and every aspect the employers look for in a candidate in detail.

Qualifications & Marks

Although being a topper is not enough to get into a job, neither scoring below average would fetch you a job. Qualification and marks are just criteria to filter candidates from the thousands of candidates. So make sure you have the minimum qualifying aggregate to get an opportunity to prove yourself as “Ability is nothing without opportunity”

Aptitude and Logical thinking

Every employer would like to recruit a candidate whose logical and analytical thinking is subtle from others. One should make sure he is capable enough to score the minimum cut off in the aptitude section.

Attitude

Right attitude is something which decides the potential in a candidate attending an interview. Sometimes it is such that only because of your attitude you get into the job or sometimes not. Right attitude here means a kind of positive outlook towards even the worse situations.

Communication

A very powerful asset for every individual to become successful in which ever career he/she chooses. This is the most basic yet competitive evaluation criteria to get into a job. So try working out on your communication, try to deliver your thoughts with confidence and definitely it would land you in a much more respectable position.

Confidence

All the above aspects put together with confidence would definitely show up a spark in the candidate which the interviewer is looking for and therefore can crack any sort of interview and for any company and can come across any difficulty level.
