3 Different groups with Different perspectives
While the chaos of admissions is getting over and students are settling down for new sessions, we might expect a pool of management students to be graduated by 2 years. Being the most amazing sector from discussions point of view, we have been talking of ‘Management’ for a while now. Management programs have always been seen as the most career enhancing degrees across globe. Every year lacs of students are in race to crack the most prestigious exam CAT, CMAT or respective entrances to get admitted to premier institutes like IIMs. Though the definition for the word ‘Management’ has been same yet it is seen with different perspectives by different people. Here in this piece, we have mostly emphasized on ‘Students’, ‘Professionals’ and ‘Market Experts’.
Management for STUDENT
Generally, we all have a student hidden in us. No matter, what our age is, we are students at every stage of our life. But when a career like ‘Management’ is concerned, students usually view them differently from a professional or an expert. For a student, management is cracking of entrances. They would spend hours preparing for these exams so that they could choose the institute of their choice. However, majority of them are often not clear about as to why they want ‘Management’ in their lives. They are not aware about pros & cons and definitely not about what would be the future prospects of their degree. For them, Management is just about being a Manager and that’s it. Often, it is observed that students go for BBAs/MBAs under parental stress or peer influence. However, only a handful of aspirants know their paths clearly after it. To tackle with such problems, students should actively go for career counselling programs and must search upon their interests as much as possible. One must remember opting Management is about being in cream and not pressure.
Management for Professional
Usually it is observed that work experience prior of doing MBAs play a vital role in enhancing the career prospects. Hence, a Professional often prefers to gain some real time experience before of opting for MBA degree. Professionals are students but these students’ focus on learning market trends first and then going ahead with Management. Options like Part time/Online/Executive MBAs are meant for such people and certainly help them in polishing their resume. It is not guaranteed that professionals know their paths but majority of them do know it since they have been active in market scenarios. This helps them to choose the kind of Specializations that they want to opt and work ahead. Students often get confused with the specializations and usually end up taking up wrong decisions.
Management for Market Experts
Markets Experts view ‘Management’ with completely different perspectives as seen by Students or Professionals. Experts are usually done with their MBAs and hold a strong opinion on each and every aspect of the field. Since they know the latest trends and are up to date with economy so for them, Management is the ‘Art of rising or falling in the market’. They are the actual trend setters of the Management and decide who will excel or de-excel in their fields. They have certain fixed market fundas to study the transitions of the field.
Though the perspective of different groups might not match but still no career can beat the greatness of taking up ‘Management’ as a Successful career. So, I leave it on you to decide which group you belong.
