Under the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Assam Rifles is a division of the Indian Army that currently has 46 battalions and a sanctioned strength of 65,143 personnel. The Directorate General Assam Rifles has recently advertised 616 vacancies for Group B & C Technical and Tradesmen at assamrifles.gov.in, providing a great opportunity for 10th and 12th pass candidates.

Assam Rifles Recruitment through Compassionate Ground Appointment is restricted to the dependent family members of personnel who were Killed In Action, Died While In Service, were Discharged From Service On Medical Grounds And were Missing While In Service. Eligibility Criteria (Age Limit & Qualification)

To qualify for the different positions available at Assam Rifles, candidates must satisfy the necessary educational and age limit requirements. However, Compassionate Ground Appointment for Assam Rifles Recruitment is exclusively open to dependent family members of personnel who were Killed In Action, Died While In Service, were Discharged From Service On Medical Grounds And were Missing While In Service. Operator Radio and Line	18 to 25 years	10th Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. ITI in Related Field or 12th Pass with Non-Medical.
Radio Mechanic	18 to 23 years	10th Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. ITI in Related Field or 12th Pass with Non-Medical.
Personal Assistant	18 to 25 years	10+2 examination from recognized Board or University or equivalent. Dictation : 10 min @ 80 wpm Transcription : 50 min English 65 min in Hindi.
Laboratory Assistant	18 to 23 years	10th class pass with English, Maths, Science and Biology from a recognized Board.
Nursing Assistant	18 to 23 years	10th class pass with English, Maths, Science and Biology from a recognized Board.
Pharmacist	20 to 25 years	10+2 or equivalent· Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized Institution.

Please note that 10% of the available vacancies are specifically set aside for Ex-Servicemen. In the event that there are no qualified Ex-Servicemen candidates for these positions, the vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen will be filled by non-Ex-Servicemen candidates belonging to the respective category.
