Indian Institutes of Management or The IIMs are the top most education center for management courses in India. The institutes are highly recognized on the worldwide scale for the education quality, teaching methods, skilled faculty, and the research facilities available for the students and the faculty in the field of management. The IIMs have been developed by the HRD department of Indian Government to provide world class education in the management courses and to select the best talent in the country for the field. By some speculations the entire admission process for the IIMs is more selective than the top B Schools of USA combined. According to the past trends in the year 2007, around 230,000 students appeared in the CAT test and they were battling for the 1200 seats available in the IIMs for the general category.
