Multimedia and Animation Education in India

Technology is changing day by day and with that multimedia animation has taken part in education. Increased demand of animated websites, PDAs, toys, television software, games in computers, laptops and mobiles, film making along with commercials has changed the living of people. All these things help us in entertaining, telling us stories, gives us knowledge and keep our acquaintance with changing time.

As per the reports of NASSCOM, the apex body of IT software & services in India has in a report in 2009 predicted that the animation & gaming industries in India will grow at annual rates of 22% & 49% over the next few years.

There are so many courses available in this but typical courses are Corel draw or Adobe Illustrator courses, 2D & 3D animation film making, Animation with Portfolio development, 3D animation, video streaming and editing, digital and visual FX and games development. Those who are professionals in other streams such as interiors or fashion, architecture, there are courses which teach basic anatomy, graphic and sketching, courses in interior designing and architecture.

Nowadays, courses offered to students by colleges and universities are Master diplomas in Multimedia and animation or BA/BSc courses which are of one or two years. BSc course offered to students have semester system too which mainly focuses on basic game designs, language training, and visualization techniques. Also these days PG Diploma in Multimedia & Animation is in demand.
