10 Steps Youth have undertaken to Bring Change in Education

The terms ‘Youth’ and ‘Education’, in spite of having two different connotations, are related to each other to a great extent, the sole reason being the dynamicity of education and youth’s contribution in it. The field of education requires constant change, improvement and development and youth are in the best position to bring about this change since they are vested with unmarked ideas and the ability to adapt themselves with modifications in society and demand of time. Given below are some of the roles played by youth in the field of education.

Introduction of Technology in Education – Application of technology has been the most important development that the field of education has ever seen. But such application wouldn’t have been possible without the constant support of the youth who have taken all necessary steps to implement the benefits of technology in the course of educating themselves.

Participation in Social Activities – A major portion of today’s youth is concerned about social issues like poverty, lack of education and unemployment. Thus these young people are more and more driven towards participating in social activities which involve educating the under-privileged children at free of cost, conducting education and welfare campaigns along with introduction of adult and rural education.

Participation in Research Activities – Earlier India’s contribution in the global research output used to be dismally low. But development in this field again goes to the credit of the youth. More and more students are participating in research activities concerning every field of education which is a strong indicator of the fact that India, from the viewpoint of education and learning, is progressing.

Exploration of new avenues – Education, at present, is not restricted to engineering, medical and law. The young generation has been exploring new avenues in the field of education which will provide the future generation with a plethora of opportunities in terms of educational qualification and availability of jobs.

Rationalization of Thinking – This is perhaps the most effective advancement in the field of education since reasonableness and rationalization are the most important tools required for development. Today’s youth are forced to think critically and question on every issue affecting their society, culture, politics and education.

Opposition towards Gender Discrimination – Gender Discrimination has been tormenting India since time immemorial. Earlier girls were debarred from attending schools and colleges. But, now, the situation is quite stable since girls are no longer considered a burden. The young women are now a part and parcel of the county’s economy.

Global Interaction – The youth, unlike the grown-ups, is genuinely interested in productive interaction. Global interaction, being a part of it, is helping in bringing people, spread across the globe, closer to each other which is definitely an important factor responsible for the enhancement of global education.

Participation in Cultural Activities – The youth represents its county’s culture. Indian youths have always been an important part of India’s culture as a result of their participation in different cultural activities, be it within or without India.

Development of Information Media – Cinema is one of the most important medium of information which has improves with time. The vital role in this field has been played by the youth who has introduced a plethora of unmarked concepts into the film industry. Many cinemas have been produced which have changed the outlook of the audiences towards education.

Cultivation of right attitude – A positive frame of mind is an essential factor required for development. Youth is filled with positive energy, vigor and dynamism and has always been a torch-bearer in the field of education.
