Does stream in 12th decide about opting for Civil Services?

The IAS examinations are the merit based exams for selection to the civil services cadre of officers and admin professionals. These highly competitive examinations prefer individuals who can enforce the law and uphold the duties of the state to their utmost capacity. The question whether an individual’s choice of educational stream in the 12^th standard decides how they would be able to get ahead in their career or more specifically is the determinant factor in the civil services, is indeed the right one. In Student life the individual is expecting regular classes, a regular graduation, developing interest in subjects of exam at civil services, although he or she is slowly aware of the transition they would face later. Thus not only hard work, smart choices and subject stream at std 12^th consider all family, values, ambition and a steady attitude. So the subject choice renders if the student is effective, and excels in choice of studies. This definitely matters in the civil services exam but is not entirely the correct basis to look for. Therefore all aspects of stream choice might be clear and fulfilling the motive for civil services yet they might also be insufficient.
