5 Reasons to continue the job you hate

If everybody loved their job then there won’t be something called “change-of-work”. Do you hate your job? You’re not the only one who is experiencing this, there are 100’s of young employees out there who are stuck with the jobs they are unhappy with but still continue with them for various professional and personal reasons.

Long hours of heavy work, harsh drives, revolting bosses, snoopy colleagues and much more are more than sufficient to make you absolutely hate your job. Yet, most of us resist the utmost irresistible things and continue with the job. But why? Here are few reasons for that :

Need of a steady income

This is one of the most obvious and common reasons why people stick on to their jobs Inspite of hating it. If you do not have any personal savings and the family financial needs have to be looked out, you would have a fear of a steady income and hence cannot think of walking away from the present unpleasant job.

Lack of modernized skills

If you do not have skills that match up to the present generation and you fear of getting a job once you move out of the current job, you would obviously stick to the present one. Things like “Something better that nothing”.

Big-fat money

Money perks and other beneficiary incentives offered by the company makes you continue the job which you don’t enjoy.

Dismay of Change

Change can be spooky. New place, new work-flow, new environment can be uneasy for most of us and this could definitely one of the reasons why you don’t want to quit a job that you dislike.

You enjoy the company

It is more often that you make good friends at your work place and tend not to leave them and tolerate the job which you hate doing.

Here are few tips to cope up with the problems you over-come at your workplace without quitting it:

  • Take out time for yourself: Choose your favourite pass-time anything like reading, writing or working out and make your-self relaxed with such things, helping you to come out of the work stress and reduce your frustration.
  • Ensure your-self that this isn’t permanent: “The number of careers an average working professional can have in his life-time is approximately five” according to few reports provided by an agency. So, make your-self realize the fact this is not gonna be permanent and things would definitely change.
  • Set short term and long term goals for yourself: Without goals you cannot really work and put-in effort to reach success. Goals make you interact, rejuvenate you and get a positive-vibe which can make negative things favourable to you.
  • Get your networking set as early and quick as possible: In any filed, networking and having a great contact-list is very important. Letters of recommendations and references come along a long way in helping you out for a better opportunity than what you have now.
  • Cut-down your expenses: Reduce your unnecessary expenses, till you attain stable position in-terms of finance to manage your work and personal life. Little sacrifices for a short-term can make a big difference on a long-term life. Look-out for other source of incomes by taking some online/work-from home to make extra-money and manage your messed-up work life.

Conclusion:

Do what makes you happy, than running behind money with no personal satisfaction. Stop grumbling and start changing things and try to make them favourable to you. By putting yourself initially, you take better care of your life and can be a role model around you and put your dream job within your reach!
